Mate with two rooks

The way to mate with two rooks is the ladder. The rook on a4 closes the 4th rank, so the black king cannot come down. The other rook gives check from the rank above. The rooks move up one rank in turn, and the king is pushed to the edge.
Watch the ladder: the rooks give check in turn, and each time the king steps back one rank.
